Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the work on Mass Transit project with the cooperation of Chinese company will commence from the 14th of August.
Talking to the delegation of Chinese company, Shahbaz Sharif said that the Mass Transit program had been agreed during the visit to China and the delegation had arrived in Pakistan on this same issue.
Shahbaz Sharif disclosed that the previous government had estimated the cost of Mass Transit Project at 2.4 billion dollars while the present government will be completing the project in 1.7 billion dollars, thus saving 700 million dollars.
Praising the Chinese company, he said that the Chinese company will not be taking any profit from us as our friendship with china is 63 years old.
Shahbaz Sharif vowed that his government will work day and night to complete the project.
Talking to media after meeting the Chinese delegation, he said that the government should restore peace in Karachi without wasting any time. He said that the largest industrial city was the gateway of Pakistan and the whole country needed peace in Karachi.
Shahbaz Sharif said that all ethnic groups of the nation lived in Karachi and we are praying for peace in Karachi.
