Karachi: Police claimed on Tuesday to have foiled terror bid in Karachi, arresting seven militants belonging to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TPP) and other terrorists’ outfits .
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Chaudhry Aslam told media that four terrorists had been arrested in Hub River road two in Leyari and one from Ittehad Town area of Baldia Town.
The SSP said that a militant identified as Ali alia Imran Shah was an activist of the TTP. He said that the accused was involved in destroying schools and launching attacks on security forces in Swat.
Aslam said huge cache of arms was also seized during the raids. He added that the accused were planning to launch an attack in Karachi.
