Karachi: Commissionerate System has been restored in Sindh province of Pakistan as President of Pakistan ordered Friday to review the system.
Acting Governor Sindh Nisar Khauro on Saturday signed three ordinances including Commissionerate System, Police Act 1861 and local Government Ordinance 1979.
Khauro inked three different ordinances. Commissioneratre System has been restored in Karachi and Hyderebad, Police Act 1861 has also been activated after cancelling Police Act 2002. Sindh Local Government Ordinance 2001 has been replaced with Local Government Ordinance 1979.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that commissionerate system was a long standing demand of masses.
He said restoration of commissionerate system does not mean that all the constitutional reforms would be applied within hours.
