North Waziristan: The United States unmanned drone fired two missiles in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region, killing at least three people late on Tuesday.
Local sources said that the US drone fired two missiles at a home in Harmaz area of Mir Ali Tehsil of North Waziristan, bordering neighbouring Afghanistan, The News Tribe correspondent reported.
Several other people were injured in the incident.
Panic gripped the area after the drone strike. And people have started rescue operation on their own basis.
It is pertinent to mention here that ties between Pakistan and the US have been fractured after the unilateral operation by the US special commandos on May 02 in Abottabad that led to the death of Osama bin Laden. Efforts were being made to repair the strained ties.
Thousands of civilians have been killed in US drone strikes.
Pakistan’s has ordered United States that leave its Shamsi Airbase which was allegedly been used by Americans for drone strikes inside Pakistan. US, however, said that America has left the airbase months before and now drone strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas were being carried out from Afghanistan.
