Peshawar: Seven people, including three women and a child, were killed when a stream overflowed and flooded nearby tents in South Waziristan tribal area, sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said that bodies of the deceased were recovered by the local people.
They said that water level has surged in the rivulets as torrential rains battered the tribal areas, posing serious threat to residents of the area.
According to reports, monsoon rains have been continuously lashing parts of Khyber Pukhtunkha and Punjab, triggering panic among the people who had suffered great losses during the last year devastating floods.
