Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Monday demanded mid-term elections to take the country out of the prevailing political and economic crises.
PML-N spokesman Ahsan Iqbal while reacting to MQM’s decision to quit government said that the rulers miserably failed to deliver at every fronts and led the country to numerous crises. Regarding MQM’s decision to quit the PPP-led government at Centre and Sindh, he said that the decision would strengthen opposition. He said that the only solution to the prevailing crises being faced by the country was mid-term election.
He, however, made it clear that PML-N would not become part of any ‘puppet show’.
Meanwhile, PML-N senior leader Khawaja Asif that they would welcome MQM in opposition. He said that apparently it seemed that this time MQM would not take back its decision.
