Karachi: Karachi police have found a heavy bomb planted in a prayer place at residential colony of Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center on Friday.
Acting Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Iqba Mehmood told media that police and officials of Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot after receiving information.
He said that according to initial assessment, about 15 to 20 kg explosive material was planted in prayer place where a large number of people offered Friday prayers.
He said that the remote controlled-bomb containing, ball bearings, nut bolts  was kept in a gunny bag linked with two detonators.
The CCPO said that orders have been issued to check other mosques in the city.
