Lahore: Pakistan’s Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) employees have announced a protest against proposed withdrawal of free units.
WAPDA employees protested today (Tuesday) in front of WAPDA House and chanted slogans against the government.
The protesters said that the government was following anti-people policies as it was not bearing a small facility provided to the WAPDA employees since its inception.
A protest camp has also been established outside WAPDA House where the employees stage a sit-in against government’s plan.
According to leaders of different trade unions in WAPDA, the protest would be increased if the proposal turned into a decision.
