Islamabad: Police have arrested a key suspect allegedly involved in the killing of former minorities minister Shahbaz Bhatti in Karachi.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Tahir Alam told media on Wednesday that the accused Hafiz Nazr , resident of Taxila was held in Kararachi.
He said police were interrogating the accused. Local media reports say Hafiz Nazr who had close links with the late minister. The reports further said that police have obtained 5-day physical remand of the accused.
Federal Minister for Minorities and the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party’s leader Shahbaz Bhatti was gunned down by unknown assailants in Islamabad on March 2 when he was on his way to office.
