Karachi: Police on Saturday presented challan against the seven accused, including six Rangers’ officials in the extra judicial killing of Sarfaraz Shah in an anti-terrorism court.
The court approved the challan and transferred the case to the Anti-Terrorism Court 1. Deputy Inspector General Police and investigation officer in the case Sultan Khuwaja also appeared before the court.
Public Prosecutor Arshad Iqbal Cheema said that police had collected substantial proves against the accused. He said that 14 objects, including Rangers Vehicle and arms had been declared property of the case.
The prosecutor said there were two eyewitness and 46 other whiteness in the case.
A youth Sarfaraz Shah was killed by the Rangers officials in Clifton and whole the episode was recorded by a camera man of a private television, triggering denunciation from cross section of the society and raising question over the deployment of a paramilitary force in the metropolis.
