Islamabad: Pakistan on Friday summoned Afghan diplomat to its Foreign Office in Islamabad and lodged a strong protest against Afghan militants’ attacks in Pakistan’s tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.
Pakistan summoned Afghan diplomat Majnoon Gulab and lodged its protest against Afghan Taliban’s attack that killed at least five civilians in Mamoond Thesil of Bajour Agency.
Pakistan also lodged a strong protest against NATO for not taking stern action Afghan militants in their hideouts in the war-raged country.
Pakistan informed about their concerns to the US Embassy in Islamabad, and demanded a combined investigation to probe the case.
Meanwhile, Islamabad also lodged a strong protest with the government of India for violation of international maritime space. Pakistan said it was an open violation of international maritime law.
Pakistan Foreign Office said that Indian ship tried to stop PNS Bahadur providing a cover to MV Swiss carrying 22 recently released hostages including Pakistanis, Indian, Sri Lankan and Egyptian.
It is pertinent to mention here that yesterday (Thursday)’s attack was the second by Afghan militants in Pakistani villages.
Earlier this month, 25 security persons were killed and dozens of border security men were kidnapped in the attack carried out by 300-400 Afghan militant who wore NATO uniforms.
