Islamabad: Pakistan International Airline has announced that PIA would purchase 16 news planes to improve its performance.
In a statement before the Public Accounts Committee on Monday, Managing Director PIA said that the national carrier would buy 16 new aircraft to boost its operational side.
He told Public Accounts Committee that the PIA hotels in New York and Paris would not be sold.
Defence Secretary told PAC that the PIA owned two hotels, one each in New York and Paris. He ruled out the privatisation of the hotels. He said that the total debt on the PIA was Rs 140 billion.
