Karachi: Social activist Ansar Burney said on Monday all 22 hostages, including four Pakistanis and six IndiansĀ held by Somali pirates have been released.
Talking to media along with Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad in the governor house Burney said the hostages have been freed after the pirates were paid ransom. He said that discussions were underway to bring Pakistani hostages back to the country. He thanked the entire nation for extending cooperation in bringing back the hostages. Sindh Governor said that secret agencies played significant role in this regard. He said ransom money was collected in Pakistan.
