Karachi: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi returned from England to Pakistan on late Sunday, to face the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) disciplinary committee, who had earlier cancelled Afridi’s central contract.
Afridi returned amidst a throng of fans and supporters, waiting hours prior to his arrival, at the Quiad-e-Azam International Ariport, Karachi to welcome him with flags, placards and posters.
Despite any special security arrangements, Afridi surprisingly chose to exit from the main entrance instead of the back door exit.
It is pertinent to mention here that Afridi expressed his reservations at the disciplinary committee hearing due to take place on Wednesday and has requested, through his lawyers, that the session is not a closed one.
Talking to media Afridi said he would hold a press conference in Karachi on Monday, and would explain his future planning. He said he would answer all dirty questions against him.
