Washington: Pakistani Ambassador to Washington Hussain Haqqani has said that Washington has been informed about Pakistan’s reservations regarding Taliban attack in Dir, the northwest area of Pakistan.
He demanded Obama administration that get stop Taliban attacks on Pakistan from Afghanistan. He urged NATO and Afghan security forces to accelerate offensive against Taliban and al Qaeda.
Haqqai informed American authorities that over 200 Taliban attacked Dir area of Khyber Pakhtookhawa and killed at least 27 security forces.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and Interior Minister Rehman Malik in their separate statements expressed concerns over Taliban attacks in Pakistan.
They also demanded NATO forces to conduct severe operation against Taliban and al Qaeda. Afghan soil is being used against Pakistan, they said.
Salman Bashir also called Afghan Ambassador to Islamabad and informed his Pakistani concerns over the attack.
