Lahore: The Pakistan Navy investigators have arrested a former naval commando along with his brother in connection with PNS Mehran attack from Gulberg area of Lahore, sources said on Monday.
The sources said that former commando Kamran Ahmed Malik and his brother Zaman Malik were arrested and shifted to an undisclosed location on Friday on the charges of allegedly abetting terrorists who launched audacious attack on Pakistan Naval Station Mehran , killing 10 officials and destroying two US-supplied PC-3Â Orian aircrafts.
They said that the former navy SSG Commando Kamran Ahmed  had been deployed at PNS Mehran and PNS Iqbal naval facilities during his service and was court-martialed 10 years ago on the charges of violating discipline.
Meanwhile, four suspects were also arrested in Defence area of Karachi in line with the interrogation being carried out into the PNS Mehran attack. A private television reported that three of the suspects were Afghan nationals while a Pakistani was also held.
The sources said that former navy officials detained in Adiala Jail  have been investigated following the PNS Mehran attack, that led to arrest of former navy commando.
