Ufone and Telenor have been declared with winner of the first Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) Awards for their creativity, persuasion and art work for their television commercial campaign.
The mobile operators have won accolade in separate categories amid tough competition among theadvertisement campaigns against their competitors particularly on TV screens.
Ufone
Ufone has won the award against Zong for the best advertisement in the telecom sector. The TVC “Teri Mehrbaani” has defeated a famous advert of Zong “Muji Babo Ban Gaya”. Ufone advert was produced by Interflow Advertising Agency.
Ufone CMO Akbar Khan has received the award with loud applause of the audience as a matter of fact the war among cellular whether it is sales or business side or it is TV commercial remain on a fire.
The mega event of PAS awards was held in Karachi attended by professionals and top guns of advertising and media industries of the country. The awards by themselves are a great achievement and everyone has come together and all the major agencies participated in the contest.
Telenor
elenor has won the award against its competitor Mobilink in the category of best advertising campaignon Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Telenor’s ‘karo mumkin’ was awarded as best against Mobilink’s ‘Kal Kay Lia Aaj Badlo’ CSR campaign. There were three more adverts shortlisted in the category, which shows a tight contested among companies and their agencies.
The award was received by CEO Adcom, Imran Syed with big hands owing to the close contest between the agencies and their produced adverts.
The last few years have seen a media revolution in Pakistan with different brands vying for consumer attention on channels. It goes to the credit of advertisers that they have created brands and helped the companies communicate with the consumer.
Ufone and Telenor have added a feather in their caps against their competitors that will likely to ignite competition not only among cellular operators but their advertisement agencies as well in the future.
There were total 13 categories in the Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) Awards 2011 held on Friday night.
