Islamabad: Security agencies have nabbed Ahmad Shahzad – a close aide of the mastermind of GHQ attacks – Dr. Usman from Karachi.
Sources said that Ahmad Shahzad, who was wanted after the General Headquarter Rawalpindi attacks, was arrested one week ago from Karachi airport by team of intelligence agencies when he was attempting to leave the country in the uniform of military police.
The sources confirmed that the arrested man is Ahmed Shahzad who was pinpointed by Dr Usman, the master mind during interrogations.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the GHQ attack that was executed on October 2009 four terrorist were killed while six security personnel were martyred.
The sources further said that the arrested has been shifted to undisclosed location for further investigation. Ahmad Shahzad was involved in several terrorist activities including planning of GHQ attacks, the sources said.
The arrested accused belongs to a banned outfit and according to the sources more revelations are expected to come out from his interrogation.
