Islamabad: Interior Ministry has rejected list of 50 wanted persons, which has been provided by India.
Interior Ministry sources said the ministry reviewed the list in details, rejected it and sent it to foreign ministry to return the same to India.
The list would be handed over to Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan within a few days.
The sources further said interior ministry had informed foreign ministry about its decision through a letter besides seeking answers to some questions from India through foreign ministry.
Interior ministry had said in the letter addressed to foreign ministry that India should investigate the matter on its own first of all that as to how many persons incorporated in the list were still present in its own territory of India as two among them had been arrested in India and the remaining were also present in India. Not a single one among the 50 persons contained in the list was present in Pakistan. India should review the list and then hands over it to Pakistan. Interior Ministry would extend full cooperation to India on this count.
It is worth mentioning here that India had declared the list correct despite the fact that two persons named therein had been arrested in India.
