Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday reject bail plea of Hamesh Khan, former President Bank of Punjab (BoP) and Sheikh Afzal and his brothers, owners of Haris Steel Mills, in the multi billion BoP fraud case.
A division bench of LHC headed by chief justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry rejected the bail application of the accused in the Rs9 billion BoP fraud case.
The counsels of the accused argued hat the accused were in the prison since last one year and government was using delaying tactics for keeping the accused behind the bars.
After hearing both sides, the court rejected the plea.
