The owners of the industry are in the mess because they are not able to complete manufacturing orders of the market due to power shortage and on the other hand they are bearing the huge expenses of salary of their employees while their earning was nothing . This situation has pushed the power loom industry to the edge of collapse down.
An industrialist hailed from power loom industry Rao Ateeq-ur-Rehman told media on Sunday that there were almost 1500 power looms situated at different areas of Karachi, which not only cater the need of local market but also complete export orders .
