Khyber Agency: At least 10 oil tankers carrying fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan were torched after a mysterious explosion in Khyber Agency, tribal area of Pakistan, on Friday evening, sources said.
The blast took place near Torkham border in Khyber Agency when the oil tankers were parked in a parking lot for clearance. Before the oil tankers caught fire a blast was hared. As a result, at least 10 oil tankers destroyed in the incident.
Fire tenders have rushed to the spot and extinguish the fire.
Heavy contingent of police have also been rushed to the spot to investigate the area. The police have cordoned off the area and initiated probe into the incident.
It is pertinent to mention here that an oil tanker carries at least 46,000 liter oil.
