Washington: United States’ special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan Mark Grossman and Deputy Director CIA Jay Morley would visit Pakistan on Wednesday, sources said.
The visit is a follow up of Senator John Kerry’s trip who visited Pakistan on Monday. Grossman and Morley would hold meetings with Pakistan’s top civilian and military leaderships to review the secret dealing between Washington and Islamabad.
Sources said Monday’s arrest of al Qaeda’s operative, Sohaib Al Makki, from the southern port of Karachi was also a part of the secret deal. Pakistani security forces would further speed up such kind of operation to make Secretary of State Hilary Clinton’s visit to Islamabad assure, the sources added.
The sources said, Senator Kerry during his visit to Pakistan, handed over a 10-point agenda to Pakistan Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, and after implementation on the deal Hilary Clinton’s visit to Pakistan would be confirmed.
