Islamabad: The United States has officially apologized Pakistan over today (Monday)’s drones strikes in North Waziristan, the tribal area of Pakistan, that killed at least 12 people, however Islamabad expressed unawareness.
Tahir Khali, Bureau Chief Daily Jang, Islamabad, while talking to a private Pakistani TV channel (Geo TV) said it is the first time since 2001 that the US military and civil administration apologized over the drone attacks in Pakistan. Pakistani and American military and civil administration confirmed that the US apologized Pakistan over the drone attack.
The Obama administration said that today’s drone strikes was scheduled before Senator John Kerry’s visit to Pakistan and the US officials did not know the latest progress between Pakistan and the US governments that both the governments have agreed to carry out combine military operation against militants, Khalil added.
He said the US drone strikes may not stop in the future but both the governments agreed to carry out combine military action against miscreants.
However, Pakistan Foreign Office in Islamabad and Pakistani Embassy in Washington expressed ignorant over the US apology.
