New Delhi: India’s Supreme Court has suspended a ruling over the fate of the Ayodhya holy site, where a Hindu mob destroyed a mosque 18 years ago.
Last December the Allahabad High Court said the land should be divided and that the razed 16th Century mosque should not be rebuilt.
Hindu and Muslim groups separately appealed against the verdict.
The case, which centres around who owns the land, began well before the destruction of the mosque in 1992.
