Islamabad: A new faction of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) has come forward after inclusion of PML-Q in the federal government alliance, and five members have filed application for separate seats in Senate.
Severe differences have been reported in PML-Q after it has become part of the government alliance while 5 dissident parliamentarians of PML-Q including Senator Tariq Azeem, Senator Jamal Laghari, Gulshan Saeed, Javed Ali and Naeem Chatha have filed application in Senate Secretariat for separate seats in Senate.
Senator Tariq Azeem expressing great reservations over inclusion of PML-Q in government alliance said that how we can become part of the government which we ourselves dubbed as corrupt therefore the parliamentarians have decided to sit in opposition benches
He said that we do not agree with the decision of Ch Shujaat to join the government and also would not rebel from the party. We will form a separate faction like Senator Saifullah and thus the section of floor crossing would not be implemented on us.
In wake of reservations by the party parliamentarians Chaudhry Shujaat, leader PML-Q has convened Central Executive Committee’s meeting on 11th May.
