Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party, the ruling party in Pakistan, has received positive response against its invitation to Pakistan Muslim League (Q) regarding to tie a political knot, sources said on Thursday late night.
The news was surfaced soon after the meeting of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari with PML-Q leadership at the President House.
President Zardari stated that the PPP wants to proceed the policy of political reconciliation. However, PML Q has not yet announced its stance, but according to the sources PML-Q would soon announced the acceptance in this regards.
It was also learnt that both the parties would cooperate in senate election, while seat adjustment would be carried out in upcoming parliamentary elections, the sources said. The sources said that President Zardari is also agreed to take back all allegations had been carried out against PML-Q.
The sources further said that President Zardari is also agreed to give permission to PML-Q leaders who arein exile and cases would also be ended against them.
After the assurance of President Zardari PML-Q leadership would take its prominent figures onboard over the new situation, sources said.
At the other hand various well known figures of PML-Q have shown severe reservations regarding the political knot with PPP, and said it would be the political suicide of PML-Q.
