Lahore: Talks between Pakistan People’s party, ruling party in Pakistan, and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam have been reached very closure, and it is expected that governorship of Punjab would be given to PML-Q, sources said.
The sources said that Chaudhary Pervez Ilahi, former Chief Minister of Punjab, and Chaudhary Wajahat Hussain, son of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, were the solid candidates of governorship. But, Ilahi does not agree over the proposal because he dose not want to quit his seat of national assembly, and want to participate in the upcoming election, the sources said.
The sources said that a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari, Co-chairperson of PPP, and PML-Q leadership is expected on Wednesday in which final decision would be taken regarding the power sharing in the federal cabinet and Punjab.
The sources said both the PPP and PML-Q are intended to generate ties for their own interest. PPP wants to pass the budget while PML-Q wants to strengthen its power for the upcoming election.
