Jubbah: At least 20 soldiers have been killed in a fresh wave of deadly clashes between Army of South Sudan and rebels, the army said on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Boang area where base of a company of 100 was attacked by rebels. As a result, 20 SPLA were killed, the Sudan People’s Liberation Army’s spokesman Philip Aguer said.
Following the severe clashes authorities announced expulsion of all northern Sudanese personnel working in oil-producing areas, and blamed the north’s ruling National Congress Party for the deteriorating security situation.
