It is said that consumption of an apple daily keeps the physician away.
Now, researchers said that there is some reality in the old saying as they discovered the apple helps cut the level of cholesterol and lose body weight in a significant manner.
Scientists at the Florida State University discovered that females who consumed 75 grams of dried apple on a daily basis for six months witnessed levels of LDL cholesterol – the injurious type blamed for congesting arteries – decline by almost a quarter.
Intensities of other compounds connected to heart trouble and strokes also fell down, and quantities of HDL or “good” cholesterol, which wards off the solidifying of blood vessels increased by around 4 percent.
