Srinagar: At least 15 houses and over 150 shops and go-downs in Kashmir, the disputed territory of Pakistan and India, were gutted in a devastating fire.
A shop at the Auqaf Market near Masjid Bait-ul-Mukaram in Baramulla town caught fire on Wednesday evening, which soon engulfed 200 shops and godowns, damaging goods and property worth millions of rupees.
Fire brigade rushed to the spot immediately but failed to control the fire, as 15 residential houses were also gutted in the fire, rendering at least 20 families homeless.
