Washington: Same like United States Republican congressman Peter King, Senator Greg Ball has blasted Islamic Sharia (law), saying Islamic education attracts Muslims toward terrorism and it declares the killing of people belong to different sects as “holy act”.
While addressing New York’s State Homeland Security meeting, Greg Ball accused Islamic laws and said Islam promotes the culture of terrorism and it teaches terrorism to its followers.
Last month, The Republican congressman Peter King has also passed same inflammable comment.
Meanwhile, Senator Kevin Parker, who said he represents the largest Muslim Pakistani community outside of Pakistan, added, “When you look at his line-up this looks more like a Peter King attack on Islam than it is a valid investigation of New York’s ability to protect itself from a terrorist attack.”
“They are not people who are experts in security,” said Senator Kevin Parker. “They are folks who have developed their name by spending their time criticizing and attacking Islam, which is not where we think we ought to be as a legislature.”
While talking to a private Pakistani TV channel Parker said attacks on Islamic laws are not in favor of America, especially citizens of New York. He said Muslims, especially Pakistanis live in New York are hard working, honest and educated. He said, he has written a letter to Senator Greg Ball in this regard.
Erick Adams, another member of the security meeting has strongly criticized the statement of Greg Ball and said propaganda against Islam promoted in the meeting instead of discussing the objectives of the meeting. After holding the Holy Book of Muslim (Quraan) in his hands, Adams urged not to pass such kind of harsh statement against Islam and Muslims.
