Jacobabad: A blast at railway track near Thal, located in southern province of Pakistan, has destroyed train engine while driver sustained injuries on late Tuesday night, police said.
The blast took place at a railway track near Mir Hasan Railway Station close to Thal area of Jacobabad when Khushhal Khan Khattak Express was on his way to Peshawar from Karachi.
The police said the track was exploded with explosive material which also also destroyed the train engine. As a result, driver of the train received injuries while passengers and boogies of the train remained save. The train has been stopped at Anhar Railway station. Train service has been suspended on the track.
The injured driver has been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Heavy contingent of police and rangers have cordoned off the area and stated investigation of the incident.
Later, the train has been sent back by attaching alternate engine.
