Islamabad: Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha has left for US visit on Monday.
The purpose of Pasha’s visit is being said to normalize ties between the spy agencies of the two countries which strained after a CIA contractor Raymond Davis killed two youths in Lahore on Jan 28.
Sharing of Intelligence information between the CIA and ISI remained frozen after the Jan incident and a deadly drone attack in North West Pakistan in which more than 50 people were killed shortly a day after Raymond Davis was released.
Sources said that Pasha would also raised the issue during his vist.
The DG ISI was invited by his US counterpart Leonne Panetta on Washington visit.
