Tripoli: Abd el Aati has been nominated as new Libyan Foreign Minister as the post was on vacant after the defect of former minister Moussa Koussa tp Britain.
Libyan government has issued notification in this regard. Abd el Aati was Deputy Foreign Minister of Libya.
The former minister Moussa Koussa resigned and defected to Britain on March 31.
Koussa said that he is “no longer willing” to represent Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi regime at international level and reached London for political asylum.
Koussa was one of the Gaddafi key member, his spy chief and the architect of a dramatic shift in Libya’s foreign policy that brought the country back to the international community after years of sanctions.
