Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has said that it has referred the cases of 2,215 people to a special terrorism court, a state run news agency reported, adding 5,000 apologetic terrorists have been set free.
The SPA news agency said that the total number of those who were accused and convicted of terrorism charges and crimes has reached 5,080.
“The total number of those who have been referred to the court in question hit 2,215… Of that number, 1612 get sentences,” the report added.
The agency did not elaborate on the nature of the trials or a time frame of the convictions.
