Islamabad: Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal has said the expected meeting between the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan in Mohali during the cricket world cup semifinal match would help improve tiesĀ between the two countries.
Talking to media after a friendly cricket match between Indian High Commission and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said that visas were being issued to Pakistanis for the match at Mohali.
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has accepted the invitation of his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh to watch the cricket World Cup semifinal match between Pakistan and India on March 30.
According to official sources, Gilani will informally meet Singh during the match and a formal meeting will be held after the match in which bilateral matters will come under discussion.
