Gwadar: At least 11 people were killed as unidentified armed men opened fire at Frontier Work Organisation (FWO) camps in Gwadar, southeastern Arabian Sea Coast of Pakistan, on Monday evening, official sources said.
Local sources said that the incident took place near Plarie area close to Coast Highway in Gwadar when eights assailants riding four bikes reached near FWO camps and opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, eleven people died on the spot. The ambushers also set two vehicles on fire.
The sources said that out of 11, seven were FWO workers, three were National Highway Authority (NHA) employees while another one was civilian.
Local police have reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The police have started search operation to arrest the assailants.
