Lahore: A judicial magistrate on Monday extended physical remand of Moonis Elahi and handed him over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for three more days in National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scandal.
Moonis was brought to the Cant Courts Lahore in an armored personnel carrierĀ (APC) amid tight security while a large number of Pakistan Muslim league-Q (PML-Q) activists were present out side the court.
The FIA requested judge Irfan Basra to grant an eight day remand of Moonis Elahi as they had to investigate him about 302 million embezzled money.
The judge rejecting the FIA’s request sent Moonis toĀ three-day physical remand and directed the FIA to produce the accused on March 24.
Earlier on Friday Moonis. a son of ex Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi, was handed over to the FIA for three-day remand.
