Karachi: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi, the southern city of Pakistan, Saud Mirza has claimed to arrest three target killers and recovered illegal weapons and drugs from their possession.
He while addressing a press conference at CCPO Office on Monday said that the police had given the task to Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police to arrest the target killers.
He said,“SSP CID Sindh Mohammad Fayaz with a police party after encounter arrested three target killers belonged to Mudassir Langra alias Chief group, while their three others aides managed to escape”. He said the accused were identified as Rao Mohammad Arasto alias Grenade son of Hyder, Muhammad Nadeem Khan alias Rickshaw son of Abdul Aziz Khan, and Baber Ali son of Sabir Ali.
Mirzas said that the accused were involved in target killings, robberies, kidnapping for ransom, police encounters, drug peddling and in various blasts. They also confessed to rape women on gunpoint. The police recovered two Kalashnikovs, two hand grenade and two rifles from the arrested accused, he added.
CCPO informed that the accused were involved in more than 30 killings, including killings of political activists.
To a question Mirza said the police would continue to take action against target killers and other criminals.
The accused were nominated in thirty FIRs in the limits of Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station, Sachal police station and Sharah-e-Faisal police station.
The accused Arastoo with his other aides have killed two people including Abdul Karim son of Jaffar Khan and Humayun on 13 March 2011 and whose FIR number 239/2011 was registered against Arastoo and his other aides in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station.
Arastoo with his other accomplices killed Asadullah son of Mohammad Ayub Khan on 24 July 2010 in Gulistan-e-jauhr in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station whose FIR number 751/2010 was registered.
Similarly accused Arastoo with his aides shot dead two people Mohammad Nawaz son Sohrab Khan and Rasheed Ahmad son of Mohammad Ibrahim on 05 August 2010 whose FIR was registered in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police stations.
Separately accused Arastoo killed two people including Rasool Bux and Naqeeb Ali Bangash on 02 August 2010 in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station whose FIR number 737/2010 was registered.
They also killed Mohammad Taj and Saeedullah by firing on 03 July 2010 in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station whose FIR numbers 705/2010 and 706/2010 were registered.
Accused Arastoo with his aides shot dead two people Amjad and Fayaz Ibrahim on 21 July 2010 in Gulistane-e-Jauhar area in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station and whose FIR number 679/2010 was registered.
Similarly they killed Qarar Ali and Mommad Shariq Quriashi in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station on 21 June 2010 whose FIR number 602/2010 was registered.
They also killed Imtiaz Khan and Abdul Wahab in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station on 21 June 2010 whose FIRs numbers 606/2010 and 607/2010 were registered.
Accused Arastoo and his other accomplices shot dead Ayaz Khan on 19 October 2010 in Gulistan-e-Jauhar in the limits of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station whose FIR number 875/2010 was registered.
He (Arastoo) was also involved in the killing of an unidentified man on 10 February 2011 whose FIR number 92/2011 was registered in Sachal Goth police station.
Arastoo shot dead an unidentified man on 12 March 2011 in the limits of Sachal police station whose FIR number 169/2011 was registered.
Similarly accused Arastoo and his other fellows killed Muslim Khan son of Agha Khan in the limits of Gulistan-e-Juhar police station and whose FIR number 28/1011 was registered.
Separately accused Arastoo and his other aides gunned down Khyal Nazar on 12 January 2011 in the limits of Gulistan-e-Juhar police station whose FIR was registered.
Accused Arastoo and his other accomplices shot dead Muzaffar Ahmad on 26 February 2011 whose FIR number 133/2011 was registered in Gulistan-e-Juhar police station.
Arastoo with his other aides killed an unidentified man on 27 February and whose FIR was registered in the limits of Gulistan-e-Juhar police station.
They also gunned down Umair on 03 Marach 2011 in the limits of Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station and whose FIR number 185/2011 was registered.
Simlarly accused Arastoo and his other aides killed Sayed Akram on 14 March 2011, Naresh on 15 March 2011, Munawwar Iqbal on 08 March, Mohammad Akram on 11 February 2011 and Saqd Ali on First January 2011 in the limits of Gulistan-e-Juhar police stations and whose FIR numbers 185/2011, 187/2011, 188/2011, 166/2011, 117/2011 and 01/2011 were registered.—by Atif Khan
