Manama: Forces of Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia entered on Monday in Bahrain under Golf Cooperation Council (GCC) to assist the government in overcoming the protests.
Though the opposition of the country viewed the alien troops on their homeland as tantamount to land grabbing, the Washington DC has stated that Arabian forces have been entered to support Bahrain, not conquer.
GCC has stated that the foreign troops were entered in Bahrain on the request of the Bahraini government to maintain peace. The forces will work under the government, they added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Bahraini government had requested the GCC for army troops after failure of dialogue with the protestors.
Meanwhile Pakistan Foreign Office has officially declared that one Pakistani citizen was killed and several injured during an anti government protest in Bahrain. Islamabad has demanded of the Bahraini government to ensure the security of Pakistani Diaspora in Bahrain
