Taking notice of the recent strike called by the ruling Pakistan People’s Party against a court verdict, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered a report on the loss of life and property during the strike.
PPP called a strike on Friday against the Supreme Court’s Thursday verdict of declaring the appointment of retired justice Deedar Hussain Shah as ultra vires of the constitution.
Sources said that the court has asked the Sindh Chief Secretary and Sindh Assembly Secretary to provide information in this regard. The court has also ordered the resolution passed by Sindh Assembly against the court verdict and the speeches by PPP members of the assembly.
