Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not included former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf and leg-spinner Danish Kaneria in their Central Contracted Players’ list, released on Wednesday.
PCB selection committee was also not considering them for international cricket because of lack of clearance from the board.
PCB has announced the name of 19 players whom they have awarded the contracts in “A”, “B” and “C” categories respectively for six months ending on June 30, 2011. It will be reviewed again for the next six months.
“A” category:
Shahid Khan Afridi, Younus Khan, Misbah-Ul-Haq, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul.
“B” category:
Muhammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Abdur Rehman, Saeed Ajmal and Wahab Riaz.
“C” category:
Taufiq Umar, Asad Shafiq, Ahmed Shahzad, Azhar Ali, Adnan Akmal, Tanvir Ahmed and Junaid Khan.
Fawad Alam, Sohail Tanvir and Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan have also not been included in the list.
