Colombo: Pakistan will play its fourth match of the cricket World Cup 2011 against New Zealand at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy on Tuesday, March 8.
Cricket legends favour Pakistan as New Zealand has never won match against Pakistan in the world cup since 1983. The two teams came face to face seven times out of which Pakistan won six of the matches while one match was won by New Zealand in 1983 World Cup.
Eighty eight matches have been played between Pakistan and New Zealand out of which Pakistan has won 51 and New Zealand 34 matches.
New Zealand captain Daneal Vettori said since Pakistan has a strong team, they will have to perform at their best to win the match.
Two changes are expected in Pakistani squad. Speed star Shoaib Akther and spinner Abdur Rehman will take place of Wahab Riaz and Saeed Ajmal.
It will be the inaugural match on the ground.
