Karachi: MQM’s Coordination Committee demanded on Sunday that the top leadership decide to quit the Sindh government. The demand came after a provoking statement from Sindh Interior Minister Zulfikar Mirza.
The committee members Anees Advocate, Mohammad Anwer and Mohammad Ashfaq demanded this in a meeting on Sunday evening in Karachi. The meeting strictly condemned the statement of Mirza and claimed that Mirza is a leader of People’s Aman Committee, allegedly involved in extortion and terrorism.
They said that Mirza is patronizing the committee, which is an extortionist group, involved in the killing of citizens. They also said that PPC terrorists were involved in Sher Shah tragedy and Mirza is sheltering them.
They said Mirza was indirectly involved in Sher Shah bloodshed, extortion and kidnapping traders.
Mirza had said earlier in the day at a meeting that PPC was a subordinate body of Pakistan People’s Party and “if PPC members are criminals then I am also a criminal”.
