New Delhi: New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill believes he can solve the Black Caps’ top-order woea if he can recall what helped him to a gritty century against Ireland in their World Cup warm-up match.
“It is just a matter of me being tough. Just making myself kick on and go deep into the innings,” Stuff. co. nz quoted Guptill, as saying.
“I did it against Ireland so there is no reason I can’t do it against other nations. So, I am looking to go back to what I did against Ireland and hopefully it works for me,” he added.
Guptill has scored 49 runs from two matches so far, which includes his 10 off 25 balls against Australia.
New Zealand will next face Zimbabwe in their Group A match on Friday.
