Peshawar: A local court on Monday rejected bail plea of US national Aaron De Haven and ordered that he be detained in Central Jail on 14-day judicial remand.
De Haven was arrested form Pakistan’s North Western province Khyber Pukhtunkhuwa last week for overstaying in Pakistan illegally and was charged under the Foreigners Act.
He was sent to Jail on 14-day judicial remand by a local court. His visa had expired on October 22 last year while his visa application had been rejected for extension.
De haven hails from Virginia and has been associated with a private firm Catalyst Services which rents buildings for US citizens in the area.
He married a local girl, claims to have embraced Islam. His Muslim name is Haroon. He was living in Falcon Colony near Tehkal.
