Microsoft has announced that it will issue another new update for Windows Phone 7 as it identified the solution after receiving complains from users.
It also revealed that 1 in 10 users experienced problems when tried to install a software update on their Windows mobile yesterday.
Microsoft is admitting that 10% of Windows Phone 7 handsets have failed. It says half of those are not its fault, and are the fault of the user being in a bad network coverage area. Then there are another 5% of Windows Phones that were completely bricked.
The problem appears to have affected only Samsung handsets, in particular the Omnia 7 model.
The company is currently trying to grow its share of the lucrative smartphone market, having lost ground to Apple, Google and Blackberry.
It recently announced a tie-up with Nokia that would see the handset manufacturer running Windows Phone on its smartphone devices.
