Tripoli: Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi has said that he would not resign and would continue to fight for the interest of the nation till his death.
He said he was a revolution leader himself. He said this while addressing the nation from state run TV on Tuesday. He claimed external elements were involved in instigating the violence.
Gaddafi vowed to die in Libya and said, ” I am not going to leave the county and will prefer to die as a martyr.”
He accused Al-Qaeda No. 2 Ayman El-Zawahiri of patronising the protesters and said Islamic extremists wanted to turn Libya into an occupied nation of the West like Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.
He asked the nation to come out from houses and crush the so-called protesters. Gaddafi said that masses should come out to save the youngsters of the nation, otherwise these elements would make them drinkers and drug addicts.
