Kunduz: At least 30 people have been killed and 40 others wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself in Kunduz, the northern province of Afghanistan, a security official said on Monday.
The suicide bomber detonated himself when a large number of people were waiting for the registration of their identity cards in front of Registration and Census Department in Imam Sahib District of Kunduz, the security official told The News Tribe correspondent on the condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to say something regarding the issue. As a result, left at least 30 people including three police personnel dead on the spot and 40 others received severe injuries, he said.
The official said number of causalities may rise as many of the injured are serious.
